"Top of the World" is probably best known because the Dixie Chicks recorded it, but it was written by Patty Griffin. Here is her performance of the song.

1968 Country Music Awards
Here is the complete 1968 Country Music Awards telecast, hosted by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Also included are all the original Kraft commercials with countless delectable food ideas. A couple thoughts on the awards:
- 1968 was a good year to be in the wig business. Even the men had big hair, although theirs may have been real.
- I think Jeannie C. Riley's outfit for this ceremony must have been the inspiration for Bjork's infamous swan outfit.
- There was a time when all the acceptances speeches could be under 30 seconds.

Keith Whitley & Ralph Stanley
Before Keith Whitley went to Nashville to become a big star and one of the best Country singers of all time, he sang lead for Ralph Stanley. Below is a clip of them performing "Will You You Miss Me When I'm Gone". This would be late 70's or early 80's.
Here also is a link to a playlist I created with a bunch of other clips that they appear in.
