Unexpected Covers - Wrecking Ball

Here is the Dixie Chicks' cover of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball". This is really a great song. I  posted The Gregory Brothers version of it last year. That cover was a bit more unexpected than this one, but I can't pass up the Dixie Chicks.

Truth #2

"Truth #2" is a Patty Griffin song off her recently released Silver Bells album, but the best live version of the song is this Dixie Chicks Austin City Limits performance.

Darrell Scott Covers

Today to I am going to post covers of the first three songs in my last post on Darrell Scott.

Here is the Patty Loveless version of "You'll Never Leave Harlan A Live". I saw Patty perform this a couple years ago when she was part of the Down from the Mountain tour. It was definitely one of the high points of the show.
