Red Shoes

Somehow this just seems like the right song to mark B16's abdication—Elvis Costello's "Red Shoes"

More Than A Hammer And Nails

Here is a clip of the Staple Singers performing "More Than A Hammer And Nails". Earlier this week the oldest Staples sister, Cleotha, passed away at 78. She was the sister who aways stood closest to Pops when they performed.

Up Above My Head

I posted a version of Ruthie Foster performing Sister Rosetta's Up Above My Head a couple years back.  It worth seeing again, so here is a newer version. Speaking of Ruthie Foster, don't miss her unique version of Oh, Susanna here.

The Weight

I found this version of The Weight performed by Emmylou with an All Star Cast. I have posted multiple versions of this song before, including two of the best here.

Shipbuilding

While I am posting favorites, here is my favorite Elvis Costello song, "Shipbuilding". There are several live versions of this, but I am posting the album version, because that is they only version with Chet Baker on Trumpet, which is the icing on the cake.

The title Track with some amazing horn performances.

Morrison and Ray Charles perform "Crazy Love".
