This is not really a Christmas song, and I have posted other versions of it before. (K.D. Lang, Lucy Wainwright Roche & Rufus Wainwright) However, it is included in Chris Botti's 2006 Christmas album December, which I have been listening to.   This is Botti's instrumental version of Leonard Cohen's song, "Hallelujah".  Even without the lyric, it stands out as one of the greatest song written in the 20th Century.

Dance Me To The End Of Love

"Dance Me To The End Of Love" is a great song, and I have posted versions of it by the Civil Wars (8/1/11) and Madeleine Peyroux (8/30/09). But since Leonard Cohen actually wrote the song, it is only fitting that I should post his version of it.

I know that Jeff Buckley had a big hit with this song, but I like this version of "Hallelujah" done by K.D. Lang.

Teddy Thompson performed this song in the film Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man. He is a live version of him singing "Tonight Will Be Fine".

Madeleine Peyroux record this on her album Careless Love. Here she is performing "Dance Me To The End Of Love".
