I started the week off with music from the 1980's, so I will just continue on in that vein with some video's from The Pretenders. I saw Chrissie Hynde perform with the current version of The Pretenders a couple years ago. Unfortunately, her sound system sucked. It sounded like she was singing with her head in a bucket of water. Maybe I will get a chance to see her again sometime, when I can actually hear her.
My favorite Pretenders song, "Brass in Pocket".

"Stop Your Sobbing"

Atheists Don't Have No Songs
Not exactly a gospel song, more a song about gospel songs. Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers - "Atheists Don't Have No Songs"

Pinetop Perkins - R.I.P.
Pinetop Perkins died Monday at 97 years old. Earlier this year he became the oldest person to win a Grammy. Originally a guitarist, her was forced to switch to piano after a knife injury in a juke joint left him unable to hold a guitar. He played the piano with Muddy Waters' band for many years. I saw Pinetop perform at the Kennedy Center a couple years ago. That concert can be streamed here. A couple videos.

Ferlin Husky
I missed posting gospel songs the last two weeks, because of computer viruses. I am thinking that Satan may have been behind that.
Ferlin Husky passed away last Thursday, so for this weeks gospel song I am posting his version of "On the Wings of a Dove".

Lucinda Williams - Blessed
I missed posting a gospel song yesterday, because my computer was out of commission with a virus. All is well now, so I am posting a couple songs from Lucinda Williams' just released album Blessed.
"Buttercup"
The title track "Blessed"
There is not a lot of video from the new album yet, but I did find this great old video of my all time favorite Lucinda song, "Side of the Road".
