Today Darrell Scott—one of my favorite songwriters—released a new album titled Long Ride Home. The first clip below is the only song from the album I can find a video for, but I have included a couple other songs from previous albums.

I have done some posts on Darrell Scott before. Tonight I saw him, at the Kennedy Center, live for the first time. You can watch that concert at the link above.

Also great news last night, Scott recieved two Gammy Nominations. One for Best Country Instrumental Performance for "Willow Creek" and the Band of Joy has received a nomination for Best Americana Album!

So I am inspired to do another post with his videos. These are all songs of his latest release, A Crooked Road.

Today to I am going to post covers of the first three songs in my last post on Darrell Scott.

Here is the Patty Loveless version of "You'll Never Leave Harlan A Live". I saw Patty perform this a couple years ago when she was part of the Down from the Mountain tour. It was definitely one of the high points of the show.

Today's post is on one of my favorite song writers, Darrell Scott. Several of his songs have been hits for other people. I am going to post his version of some of his songs.

First, "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive".
