From Monday night's Letterman Show, Aretha Franklin covering Adele's "Rolling in the Deep', with Cissy Houston kind of singing with the back up.
Here is the interview segment.

I Can't Make You Love Me
In 1991 Bonnie Raitt released the song "I Can't Make You Love Me" on her Luck of the Draw album. Raitt always picks the best songs to record, and this one—written by Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin—is one of the very best. It was listed as #8 on a Mojo magazine list of The 100 Greatest Songs Of All Time list, and is #331 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. There have been a number of covers of the song in the last 20 years. In the last year both Adele and Justin Vernon have had very successful covers of the song. Here are videos of a couple versions.
Bonnie Raitt performs the song in 2011. What I like about this clip is that at the beginning you can here several people talking, but just a little into the song you can tell that the entire audience has become silent.

Justin Vernon form Bon Iver. This version includes part of another Bonnie Raitt song, "Nick of Time"

Adele Walks Through Paris
Adele's new video for “Someone Like You” is a Black & White film of her walking through Paris. It looks to me like the video contains one continuous tracking shot that is almost four minutes long. Truly Amazing!

All You Need Is a Piano
An article from the The Guardian about Adele toppling Madonna as the female artist at #1 on the British charts for the most consecutive weeks. Referenced in the article is this performance at the Brit Awards. The title of this post is from the announcer at the end of the performance on the video.

Adele - 21
Looking ahead to the new year, the new album I am most anxious for is Adele's 21, the follow up to her first album, 19. This looks to be the first track on it—"Rolling in the Deep".

Adele - Pt. 2
This is my 100th post on this blog, so I am going to go be and revisit my first post by posting a couple more Adele videos. Adele is now working on her second album, but no word when it will be out.
This is her cover of the Raconteurs song "Many Shades of Black". This video actually starts with the end of another song, "Many Shades of Black" start a little over 1 minute in.
I think all but one of the songs on her debut album, 19, where songs she wrote. Since I only included one of these in my previous post, I want to make sure I get more of her songs in this post, including this one "Melt My Heart To Stone".
Another of her original songs, "Right as Rain", recorded the night after she won her grammys in 2009.

Here she is doing Bob Dylan's song "Make You Feel My Love".
Here she is with Jools Holland doing "I Just Wanna Make Love to You".
